National Night Out
The Round Lake Park Police Department National Night Out was Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Murphy School on Greenwood Drive.
The purpose of National Night Out is to heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention as well as strengthen the partnership between the police department and the community.
National Night Out included a bike rodeo and canine demonstration.

Earth Hour
Earth Hour is held around the end of March at 8:30 PM. This green initiative began in Sydney, Australia in 2007 and with over 2 million participants, the city reduced its energy use by over 10%. This campaign to reduce Earth's carbon footprint has caught on worldwide, with Chicago joining the international list of participants in 2008, and the Village of Round Lake Park joining in 2009. The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony was held Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Village Hall. We wish to extend a special thank you to the choirs from Murphy School and St. Joseph School for kicking off the Holiday Season with their fine performances.

Ride for the Kids - Iron Justice of Lake County and the Round Lake Park Police Department hosted a Ride for the Kids on Sunday, September 21, 2008. All profit benefited the Adopt a Classroom program.

RLP Beach Festival

Non-perishable Food Collection: The Avon Food Pantry collects donations of non-perishable food items year-round. Please help Avon Township families by dropping off your donations directly to Avon Township at 433 E. Washington Street (847-546-1446).
Shop With A Cop
The Round Lake Park Police Department accepts donations for the Shop With A Cop program year-round.
Checks or money orders made payable to the Round Lake Park Charitable Fund may be mailed to or dropped off at 215 E. Main Street, Round Lake Park, IL 60073. Please help! Your support and donations will enable us to help even more children in the Round Lake Area who are in need of assistance. Please help make the children’s Christmas a little bit nicer for them!
Village of Round Lake Park Memorabilia
The Village of Round Lake Park is gathering historical documents and photographs to commemorate our village. If you would like us to include memorabilia in our presentation, please drop the information off at the Village Hall to the attention of Trustee Candace Kenyon. Old photographs, stories and tidbits, names and places and dates, and any other interesting facts are greatly desired. Your memories can become part of our history!
