Duties of the Village Clerk
The Clerk for the Village of Round Lake Park attends required meetings and records a complete account of proceedings in the village journal. The Clerk’s office manages many functions such as publicizing village ordinances; issuing business licenses and liquor licenses; billing for water and garbage; dispensing building permits, vehicle stickers and waste stickers; processing garage sale applications; providing notary services; and several other duties.

Linda has served as Village Clerk since 1997, during which time she achieved Registered Clerk status and completed IIMC Certification as a Municipal Clerk through the Municipal Clerks of Illinois. Originator of the Summer Festival, Lucassen chaired the event for seven years, which has raised thousands of dollars for the Shop with a Cop holiday program.
Linda has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Firemen Days and the Welcome Wagon Chapter, where she served as president. She is a member of Neighborhood Watch and has served as Treasurer, co-chaired Red Ribbon Week, and currently is chairperson for the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Linda is a member of the HR Committee and organizes Job Shadow Day activity for Murphy School children.
A College of Lake County employee for 18 years, Linda has taken part in a number of academic programs and educational events. She is a CLC adjunct faculty member, instructing craft courses. Her teaching avocation extends to various schools and park districts.
Linda has been a resident in Round Lake Park for more than 30 years. She has two sons and three grandchildren. She enjoys camping and vacations with her family.
